Lumberg Welcomes ten New Trainees

Schalksmühle, 11.8.2022. For precisely 89 years, the globally operating manufacturer of connectors and contact systems with in-house development, production and headquarters has been based in Schalksmühle in Germany’s Sauerland region. Since then, well over 1,200 young people have completed training in a wide variety of professions at the third-generation family-owned company in Germany – and this year Lumberg welcomes ten more new apprentices, four of them at the company’s headquarters in Schalksmühle and two at its largest production site in Cloppenburg.

At the headquarters in Schalksmühle, Jasmin Joy König is starting her training as an industrial management assistant, Sam Akarinassim in a training as an IT system management clerk and Alexander Kontza is being trained as a qualified IT specialist for systems integration. Felix Schürfeld decided to train as a tool mechanic and starts at Factory 1 in Everinghauserheide.

Furthermore, Jessica Cuellar Bollaños, Josephine Preut, Jason Klötz and Bennet Witte are also new on board at Factory 2 in Cloppenburg, Lower Saxony, and are starting their training as industrial mechanics, while Martin Beertels and Lucas Thobe have chosen to train as mechatronics engineers.

For a knowledgeable and sound professional future, the trainees will go through a regular rotation system to acquaint themselves with the different fields, departments and locations, in line with their respective occupational profile. They will familiarize themselves with relevant matters that relate to the products made by Lumberg and learn about working in different team structures as well as the flows of a modern industrial operation.
