Schalksmühle, 01.08.2023. For exactly 90 years now, the globally active manufacturer of connector and contact systems with its own development, production and headquarters has been based in Schalksmühle. Since then, well over 1,200 young people have completed training in a wide variety of professions at the third-generation family-owned company in Germany – and this year Lumberg welcomes seven more new apprentices, two of them at the company’s headquarters in Schalksmühle and five at its largest production factory in Cloppenburg.

At the headquarters in Schalksmühle, Melina Gördes is starting her training as a technical product designer. Having just moved with her family from Freiburg to the Sauerland region, she is starting her training with the Abitur from the Technical High School in Breisach. Luca Emke, on the other hand, who has decided to train as an industrial management assistant, is returning from a year’s work & travel in Australia and Southeast Asia, which he did after completing his Abitur in Hagen.

Hubert Kaczmarek and Fabian Kröger are new on board at Factory 2 in Cloppenburg, Lower Saxony, and in the occupational profile of mechatronics engineer, while Jakob Lanfer and Martin Ruschizki have chosen to train as process engineer and Lars Wiese will train as a qualified IT specialist. In addition, there are two long-term interns, Timo Buchs and Daniel Schimanskis, who also started on August 1.

To ensure a sound and solid professional future, the new apprentices will get to know the various specialist areas, departments and sites in regular rotation during their training, depending on the job description. In the process, they will not only learn about relevant Lumberg products, but also about working in different teams and the processes in a modern industrial company.
