Lumberg Welcomes Six New Trainees

Schalksmühle, 2021-08-12. For precisely 88 years, the globally operating manufacturer of connectors and contact systems with in-house development, production and headquarters has been based in Schalksmühle in Germany’s Sauerland region. Since then, well over 1,200 young people have completed training in a wide variety of professions at the third-generation family-owned company in Germany – and this year Lumberg welcomes six more new apprentices, four of them at the company’s headquarters in Schalksmühle and two at its largest production factory in Cloppenburg.

At the headquarters in Schalksmühle, Maren Schlieck is starting her training as an industrial management assistant. Semih Aydogan and Berkant Yikilmaz decided to train as punching and forming technicians and are starting at Factory 1 in Everinghauserheide. As a tool mechanic apprentice, Fabio Dempewolf completes the Sauerland team.

Furthermore, Martin Schlotgauer is a newcomer on board at Plant 2 in Cloppenburg, Lower Saxony, and starts in the occupational profile of industrial mechanic, while Fabian Busche has chosen to train there as a mechatronics technician.

For a knowledgeable and sound professional future, the trainees will go through a regular rotation system to acquaint themselves with the different fields, departments and locations, in line with their respective occupational profile. They will familiarize themselves with relevant matters that relate to the products made by Lumberg and learn about working in different team structures as well as the flows of a modern industrial operation.
