Schalksmühle, 30 October 2016. 45 years ago, the partnership began between Lumberg, an owner-managed manufacturer of quality connectors and electromechanical sub-assemblies, and Bürklin GmbH & Co. KG, a wholesaler based in Oberhaching to the south of Germany, specialized in quality electronic components. 1971, when the popular German show Dalli Dalli had its television debut, marks the year in which products by Lumberg were listed for the first time. Dr. Hans Bürklin, founder of Groß- und Einzelhandel mit Rundfunkgeräten, Ersatz- und Zubehörteilen, originally based in Munich, was the first contact person. Today, the second generation of the family business is at the helm.

Lumberg now honors this unusually long and close business relationship with a Recognition of Excellence award, presented for the seventh time since 2012. Yesterday, Meike Schmidt, managing partner of Lumberg Group, warmly welcomed Bürklin’s head of sales, Alfred Lipp and their product manager, Markus Flechtner. Together with Peter Maffei, Sales Manager Global Sales Distribution of Lumberg Connect, she handed over the bronze statue made exclusively for Bürklin at the Lumberg trade booth in Hall B2.
