Schalksmühle
Schalksmühle, 3.8.2015. For precisely 82 years, the globally-operating manufacturer of connectors and contact systems with in-house development and production facilities has been headquartered in Schalksmühle in Germany’s Sauerland region. More than 1,000 young people have completed an apprenticeship in a variety of occupational fields in Germany at the family business which currently is run by the third generation. This year, Lumberg welcomes a further eleven new trainees, five of whom at the headquarters in Schalksmühle and six at the company’s largest production facility in Cloppenburg.
In Schalksmühle, Dominik Turi and Jan-Luka Wagner will take up an apprenticeship as a toolmaker; Cindy Kreher and Lea-Sophie Zeitel will start training to become an industrial management assistant, and Luca Inzinna decided to train for the profession of a technical product designer.
The trainees received a warm welcome today at the respective sites. For a knowledgeable and sound professional future, the trainees will go through a regular rotation system to acquaint themselves with the different fields, departments and locations, in line with their respective occupational profile. They will familiarize themselves with relevant matters that relate to the products made by Lumberg and learn about working in different team structures as well as the flows of a modern industrial operation.
